Drive the success of Network Control in mainly Indonesia and regionally to Asia-Pacific region by providing support from the sales stage right through to solution implementation and providing support for existing install-base, whilst executing all tasks in accordance with company procedures & contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for Network Control SCADA/GMS/EMS/ADMS/MMS presales activities related to potential customers in Japan.
  • Working operationally in Presales activities.
  • Working closely with the Sales team, Proposal team, Product Management to promote the technical solutions to the customers.
  • Being engaged in sales opportunities from the initial lead, through proactive pre-sales activities and tendering to negotiations and a closed deal.
  • Acting as our customers technical trusted advisor during the sales cycle.
  • Responsible for the design of the technical solution strategy of our offering and demonstration of the Network Control products.
  • Develop Network Control system designs, including hardware and software related aspects, during tendering and early project phases.
  • Interfacing with customer technical staff to develop, establish and refine design requirements whilst also educating customer staff in areas of product features and functionality relevant to successful project delivery.
  • Develop SCADA and Historian related aspects of a Network Control solution, such as I/O data exchange configuration, operating screen development, and archiving solutions, with a focus on correct interpretation of customer requirements and consideration for project scope.
  • Design, create, refine, and deliver Power Network Applications and Generation Management functionalities (EMS/GMS/DMS) for project deliveries to achieve optimal power system performance and benefit to customer.
  • Develop technical documentation relating to Network Control system design, functionality, and delivery methodology.
  • Lead testing activities, including application and communications testing, for new project implementations at various stages of project life cycle and in support/maintenance scenarios.
  • Perform support and maintenance tasks for existing customer install-base in Japan, consisting of both preventative and corrective maintenance on SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS and Historian systems.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and skills relevant to the Network Control field and share these learning with global network control team.
  • Collaborate through regular communication with team members, both locally and internationally, within the Network Control team and with external teams.
  • Travel approximately 20% of time, for training, testing, commissioning, and support activities.

Your background

  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science/Engineering and majoring in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience with an electric utility and/or with a provider of advanced applications for power systems software.
  • A general understanding of the various methods of organizing and regulating electricity industries specially in Japan.
  • Understanding of Network Control solutions with a focus on SCADA, EMS, GMS and DMS functionalities.
  • Some software engineering/programming experience is preferable.
  • Proficiency in both Spoken and Written Japanese and English is mandatory.
