As a Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. Reporting to Local Division Manager, you will be coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project execution teams. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation under the guidance of the global project operations manager
  • Ensuring that the regional/ local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB Policies
  • Leading and overseas the project execution teams locally/regionally, ensuring that ABB Policies are consistently followed. Developing, customizing, and continuously improving standard processes and work instructions by adopting ABB and external best practices
  • Participating in the budgeting process, jointly with local division/business unit manager and controller. Participating in sales and Operations planning with other members of the local division/business unit/product group management team and takes actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity
  • Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and project managers to ensure contract fulfilment and approves any project deviations. Taking an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those raised by the customer
  • Ensuring that projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management
  • Experience in managing a team and ability to engage and motivate people
  • Knowledge on engineering, supply chain and procurement is an advantage
  • Excellent negotiation skills and customer mindset
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent written and oral communication in English
