Leading, growing and scaling the organization (now 140 people) so that it continues to support the company’s use of data in its decision making
Strategy-making & future-proofing the team’s technical and personal capabilities for becoming centre of excellence in analytics
Coordinating cross-functional collaboration: driving efficiency and efficacy across the BI organization
Own and develop relationships with senior executives from C-levels, Business, Product and TechGuide, lead, partner, collaborate with overall data org in driving the overall roadmap
Support execution of Gojek’s vision by collaborating with stakeholders to create business cases and prioritize project resourcing based on high impact to Gojek and its customers
Championing execution of the CDO vision by maintaining focus on activities to create long term value across Gojek’s data platform and applications while executing on short term objectives
Create a data value chain strategy and lead efforts to operationalize it within Gojek
Strive to identify new areas of value creation for the organization by adopting a holistic view of its data assets, people and processes
Champion a continuous improvement mindset within the organization. Enable effective scaling by identifying areas for standardization, automation and process optimization
Drive a data value chain mindset by partnering with different groups within Gojek to develop solutions for their data and analytics needs. Lead activities to progressively enabling the use of data analytics within their decision-making process
Enable trust by driving the adoption of a robust and transparent data governance process with a focus on explainable analytics. Focus on data security and data protection policy adoption
Create an environment conducive to agile high-performing teams and attract, retain and grow talent within the organization. Foster an inclusive and respectful culture within the team.
Skills and Experiences
5 years of experience working in data-focused fields, data management, data architecture, data model design, data governance, and developing the underlying technologies needed to enable data innovation across a large enterprise with startup speed
5 years of demonstrated management experience with strategic alignment, relationship management, and leading/ mentoring teams
Demonstrable experience in the use of analytics to inform business decisions (in more than one industry)
Stakeholder management – senior to junior, prioritization, project management
Thrives under intense pressure
SQL is a must
Organizational and business strategy experience
Nice to have: Experience with engineering high volume streaming data pipelines
Nice to have: Strong programmatic analytics skills (R, Python, etc)
