JOB VACANCY DESCRIPTION
IT Manager
- Ensure day-to-day smooth running of the Company’s IT systems (hardware & software, Network, Server, Infrastructure).
- Gather requirements from stakeholders, and lead Application project implementation which includes milestone planning, risk management and external vendor management.
- Generate budget, reports detailing data usage, network security, upgrade proposals, hardware and software status.
- Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively at an optimum level.
- Configure and maintain office cloud systems, physical servers, and company software applications.
- Manage user accounts in the active directory, including creating new users, mapping them to groups, and enhancing file server security.
- Implementing effective cybersecurity of the network, data and its storage and communication systems
- Manage external vendors including Telcos, ensuring SLA has been met.
- Maintain prompt communication with HQ and timely reports to business stakeholders on
- project/troubleshooting case status.
- Effective interaction with diverse business units is pivotal for this role, necessitating an understanding of various business segments and how IT impacts their operations.
- Mature, meticulous, proactive and resourceful
- Leadership ability to train junior IT staff.
Skills and experience required
As a successful applicant,
- You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in managing a small IT department;
- You should possess valid Industry-accepted IT Security Professional Certifications (such as CISSP, CISA or equivalent) and possess a comprehensive knowledge of International Standards and Best Practices for IT such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NSA Security Guidelines;
- You should have experience in programming languages (C#, NodeJS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, JAVA)
- Proficient with networking, Windows operating system, Linux, and iOS .
- Good cybersecurity concepts and associated duties include patching security vulnerabilities and incorporating security into design.
- Knowledge of server configuring and operating systems on cloud service providers, i.e., Aliyun.
- Familiar with web server technologies such as NGINX/APACHE/IIS.
- Proficient in script development and automation (CI/CD tools/Shell/ Python/PowerShell)
- Proficient in database administration and can write database scripts, queries, procedures, and triggers.
- Candidates who are bilingual (English & Chinese) have an added advantage, as communication with HQ requires Chinese language ability.
