We are currently looking for Bid Manager to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives. Requirements: Bachelorâ€™s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Computer Science The candidate will have at least 5 year experience, preferably working within a similar IT environment with multinational exposure. Specific Experience in Bid and Contract Management: 2-3 years. Experience in contract negotiation with Client and Vendor, working with Regional team and project management. Ability to anticipate and articulate the areas of risks. Key Roles and Responsibilities In this position you will be required: Manage bids in accordance with the Dimension Data Bid Process, using related supporting tools and systems. Manage all aspects and stages of the bid that will be subject to the requisite team and management reviews prior to client submission, complying with Dimension Data corporate governance, including: o Deal Qualification based on pre-defined criteria o Solution Definition o Content Development o Response Consolidation o Team Reviews o Quality Control o Run the Bid Authority Matrix approval o Bid Award o Win/Loss Review Apply sound project management principles and techniques to the management of bids. Establish clear and effective plans for each bid and execute in accordance with these plans. Effectively manage bid resources to facilitate the development of appropriate deal strategies, solution and service architectures, commercial models and delivery/service management plans. Ensure that Dimension Dataâ€™s risk exposure on all bids is understood, documented, communicated to all stakeholders and appropriately addressed/ mitigated. Keep an auditable trail of all bid artefacts and records on recognised company systems. Draft and compile baseline contracts for straight sales opportunities or for requests for proposal and tender activities Identify risks associated with contracts and make recommendations to mitigate and eliminate these risks Take responsibility for the managing the entire contract life cycle from contract administration, activation, renewal and deactivation. Maintain and manage contract documentation electronically and in physical formats when required. Establish relationships with vendors and partners when required to obtain relevant contract details and negotiate terms of engagement.
