JOB VACANCY DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing outreach initiatives for raising cancer awareness. The role will include project and event management. To be successful in the role requires you to:

• work collaboratively in teams and with people from different backgrounds
• work in cross-functional teams
• to link the overall communications strategy to organizational mission and vision

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop collaboration opportunities with partners and stakeholders
• Conceptualize and lead outreach programmes, workshops and draft proposals for consideration
• Oversee the execution of events and manage events logistics and publicity efforts to contribute to the General Cancer Awareness including World Health Day
• Manage procurement and partnership agreements to ensure adherence to official guidelines
• Assist in reports and project status updates to the management and key stakeholders
• Assist in post-event assessments and evaluations, including reviews of processes, frameworks, and impact measures, along with the development of strategies to better achieve each programme’s long-term vision and objectives

Criteria

• Degree in Marketing or Business Management
• 3 years of related experience in health promotion or events management
• Some experience in community engagement
• Track record in developing, implementing and implementing partnership initiatives
• Strong marketing and communications skills
• Presentation and negotiation skills
• Collaborative and partnership building skills
• Ability to present complex concepts in clear and relevant manner to the target audience 
• Ability to communicate effectively in a second language (local) will be advantageous
