the role of Finance Advisor – Retail Site Assurance to be part of Shell Finance Indonesia pool that will provide critical finance support to a successful, established, and growing business. The role also serves as the face of Finance for opportunities or challenges prioritized based on value and risk. This role also responsible for the delivery of Finance capability required to support a set of clearly defined business outcomes across multiple activities/assets.

What’s the role?

Accountabilities:

  • Finance Advisor will work for a variety of activities, project, and opportunities within Shell Indonesia businesses that are prioritized by value and risk.

  • The role will likely have a focus on activities such as carry out Site Audit and P&L Audits for various sites, assessing business controls and potential risk to Shell.

  • Provide audit feedback to Territory Manager, District Manager, Finance Manager and GM and distribute KPI data on control trends to Sales/Operations and Finance Management.

  • Manage and control Shell Fuel Assets located at Retail Sites to ensure that the volumes of Fuel product recorded in Shell’s records accurately reflect the volume of Fuel product held at the Retail Sites.

  • Evaluate the tolerance level in Shell’s books to determine applicability and review the quality of the Wet stock Reconciliation to determine whether processes are being followed and the level of accuracy is managed.

  • To provide the link between process areas and Retail for all issues which cannot be managed via processes in specific areas and requires Retail intervention including but not limited to Data Management correction, recovery and input to Retailer Billing.

  • Become Government liaison, i.e Manage communication and relationship with Bapenda in 5 provinces (DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, East Java, and North Sumatera) for: PBBKB regulatory compliance and reporting, Payment validation and confirmation, obtaining SK WAPU, consultation if any dispute, support an audit process from BPK.

  • BPH Migas to Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly BPH Migas report reconciliation (Sales, Stock and Supply) for CF, homebase and Retail and upload it through BPH Migas website.

What we need from you

We hope to find the following in your CV:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of expertise.

  • Preferably an Auditor in an Accounting firm, skill in Financial Reporting and experience with Control and Government Management.

  • A broad and agile thinker, able to quickly understand value and risk drivers.

  • Strong in managing workloads and managing priority towards daily operational business proposals review at the same time agile to allocate time and priorities for projects as and when business identify the opportunities/facing challenges.

  • Proficient and experienced in working in Excel, audit planning, process, procedure and report back, external (Government engagement).

  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to assess and shape complex commercial structures and value chains.

  • Ability to challenge, support and build trust and credibility with business partners.

  • Expertise across the spectrum of Finance competences.

  • Ability to gain the confidence of various internal and external parties building on strong knowledge and understanding of the business drivers, value, and risk.

  • Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to commercial decision-making process and risk management bringing analytics and insights to the table.

  • Project management skills and flexibility given the support across multiple activities/assets.

  • Ability to rapidly understand the specific business or function context for which activities in the pool concept are linked to.

  • Must be proficient in English and Bahasa.
